Bienvenue à Paris. The city of love and lights and amazing food. Here I have compiled a list of a few of my favorite restaurants in this beautiful city.
CoCo is located in the 9th arrondissement in the Palais Garnier. You are surrounded by the breathtaking opera house structure. The outdoor seating area is serene and classy. One of my favorite dishes at CoCo is the CoCo bowl which contains avocado, mango, edamame, and tomatoes, among other vegetables. It is so fresh and like a vegetarian poke bowl. I also really enjoyed the beef filet which was accompanied by perfectly seasoned green beans. The way that they cooked the filet and paired it with the sauce was so good. It's definitely a must-try.
This is your typical French bistro, located in the charming 5th arrondissement, my favorite part of Paris. It's near the Sorbonne and the Latin Quarter. At Brasserie Balzar, they have classic dishes including the best French onion soup I have ever had, a satisfying ratatouille (vegetable stew dish), and a creamy gratin dauphinois (potatoes, cream, butter, and cheese dish). The seating arrangement is also very Parisian with the red woven chairs all lined up.
Gigi is an Italian restaurant located in the 8th arrondissement near the avenue des champs-élysées. They have the most gorgeous view of the eiffel tower and the Paris skyline with a huge grand window bringing in so much natural light. Their food is divine as well with a delicious purple artichoke parmesan dish, a truffle risotto, wonderful fish options, and a refreshing lemon meringue tart.
This was probably my favorite food experience that I had in Paris as you ate your dinner while on a boat cruising along the Seine. I love taking boat rides but this one was extra special as we could see the Musée d'Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, and other beautiful monuments. There was also live music with a guitarist/pianist/singer. The food was delicious as well and visually delectable. I had a ricotta ravioli and a burrata starter. It's the perfect way to spend an early evening.
Honorable mention and recommendation to go to a Boulangerie to get a croissant (so buttery and flaky and perfection) and or a crême brûlée (the fresh caramelized top is beyond your greatest imagination). French desserts are heavenly.
