Atelier September, located on Gothersgade in Indre By, has the most aesthetic atmosphere and delicious, understated vegetarian dishes. This café was started by the chef Frederik Bille Brahe and used to be an antique shop. In accordance with the design prospective area, A.S. features minimalist yet unique dishes and pieces of furniture. Delicate, sunshine-y colors and textures seem to define the style.
I especially love Atelier September for brunch or breakfast. A must-order dish is an almond pancake that is so fluffy that it feels like you are eating a cloud or a giant marshmallow. Topped off with warm, juicy, slightly tart blueberries and a homemade sweet whipped cream, this pancake overwhelms your senses with pure bliss and balanced palatability. Another scrumptious dish is the Avocadomad on rye bread. The rye bread here is amazing with crisp edges and a soft nutty and fresh flavor. Another bread-like item that I would highly recommend is the buttery croissant. Atelier September has perfected the technique of baking them.
To drink, I would get the pink grapefruit juice. While it is a bit sour, it is also exceptionally refreshing and a great drink to wake you up and start your day with energy. The hot chocolate and coffee beverages are also really cute as they put a smiley face on the latte art of the hot cocoa and a growing heart for the cappuccino.
Overall, I am in love with the design and the cozy yet modern vibe of Atelier September. It is peaceful and pleasant inside, matching the beauty and the simplicity of the dishes. Gothersgade is also a fun street to check out as it embodies the Scandinavian lifestyle and feel.
