If you asked me where my favorite restaurant in Copenhagen is I would immediately point you in the direction of Gorm's. There's one on Magstræde (one of the oldest streets in Copenhagen- super colorful and cute cobblestones) and one on Nyhavn (a street with rows of cafes along the canal and Danish flags strung up), not to mention a couple in other cities in Denmark. You can get Gorm's delivered via Wolt but I think that it tastes a lot better in the restaurant.

I love the atmosphere of Gorm's. It feels almost like a hidden spot because you have to descend a couple of stairs to enter. It feels so cozy inside with candle lighting and mosaic stone tables. I love the environmentally friendly carafes at every table and the pretty artisanal plates and rustic cutlery. I also honestly just adore how close it is to the canals so that you can see the bright buildings and charming sailboats outside through the windows.

Gorm's is a sourdough pizza restaurant, and I have not found pizza like theirs anywhere else. The crust is magical. It's a light thin crust with the perfect crunch on the edges. The sauces are also so flavorful. My first recommendation is the Mark & Rita pizza (the name is adorable). It's essentially a Margherita pizza with the freshest cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. They have the option to add stracciatella cheese (the creamy inside of burrata) on top and it is a must. My second recommendation is the Sweet Truffle pizza. I had never tried sweet potato pizza before this but I am obsessed now. It pairs perfectly with the aged Them cheese, a Danish cheese, on top. This pizza also includes (as mentioned in the title) truffle tapenade, a truffle vinegar that gives you the perfect amount of mushroomy flavor.  

For non-pizza items, I recommend getting the crispy polenta fries and the arancini or fried risotto balls. You will not be disappointed. For a non-alcoholic drink, get the Bornholms Mosteri elderflower and apple juices. 

Gorm's is the best place to go out with friends or just for a casual dinner alone. It has such warm, inviting energy and has the best unique pizza.
